I just read up on former Selangor Menteri Besar Dr Mohd Khir Toyo’s statements on Malaysiakini and I am seriously wishing I could tell him to stop being racist. Here are excerpts, with my response after:
“As long as Anwar is important in Pakatan Rakyat, the muzakarah (dialogue) will not succeed. Anwar does not want to see Malays unite and that is why he formed Pakatan that thrives on the ideals of equality to the extent of elevating other religions on the same par as the primary religion in this country, Islam,”
We want to see all of Malaysia unite. And yes, when you guys keep saying you want to be fair, you hold back some cards, with this clause and that clause.
Khir said this was proven by the fact that Anwar was being supported by ‘extremist’ Chinese and Indians via opposition party DAP and the Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf).
I am quite sure a lot of moderates chose to depart from BN leadership too. Seriously.
“We must first get rid of the politics of hate, slander and revenge among the Malays. It must begin with the younger generation understanding that a Malay majority is only meaningful if it is used to better the Malays.”
I think we need to get rid of the politics of hate, slander and revenge among all Malaysians. You keep forgetting to add ’sians’ behind the word Malay. Goodness. I believe it must begin with the younger generation understanding that whatever government we elect is only meaningful if it is used to better the Malaysians.
“I am happy to hear that Umno and PAS leaders are talking. This happiness comes from the fact that I initiated the move after the March 8 elections.”
So now it’s about you.
“My dream is that one day, we will see Abdullah, (former premier) Dr Mahathir Mohamad, (deputy premier) Najib Abdul Razak, (PAS spiritual leader) Nik Aziz Nik Mat, (Anwar’s wife and PKR president) Dr Wan Azizah (Wan Ismail) and (PAS president) Abdul Hadi Awang seated at the same table.”
This is so racist, divisise and exclusive. I sincerely hope you will never win another election until you get better sleep and more wholesome dreams.
“My dream is to see that the Malays once again become the backbone which will stabilise the politics in the country,” he added.
Well, I think for a lot of MalaySIANS, the dream is to see that a united MalaySIAN leadership, free of corruption, free of discrimination, and free of self-indulgence, will become the backbone which will stabilise the politics in the country.

National leaders aren’t leaders of some party members, they’re not leaders of UMNO or MCA or PKR. They are not leaders of this race or that race. They are not leaders of this religion or that religion. They are supposed to be leaders of all. I’m not sure if Dr. Khir Toyo recognizes that. Then again, he’s not a national leader now.
We need to pray hard for our country that Malaysians will not be deceived by the words of Dr.Khir Toyo.
God bless.

keep it rollling superratty!!!
The recent much publicised news on talks between Umno and PAS may be part of the strategy by Umno to create mistrust among non-Malay voters, who gave overwhelming support to PAS.
As the deadline of Sept 16 is getting near, Umno may decide to call for snap election so to counteract the exodus of its MPs to Pakatan. So, creating mistrust of non-Malay voters on PAS will benefited Umno if call for snap election before Sept 16.
If my guess is true, then Pakatan Rakyat should be aware of this and convince Malaysian at large that these are Umno’s ploy and should remain even more united .
Just hope MCA and Gerakan will do us a big favour, ie pull out from BN. There is no hope Umno will change.
Just keep our fingers crossed.
Whatever you address yourselves, will come back to square, we are Malaysian.
For this, I encourage all Malaysians, especially Malay brothers and sisters, to participate in Dr. Hsu’s Forum,
